Virtual Court Guidelines 

Laredo Municipal Court is offering an alternative to an in-person court appearance. Virtual Court Dockets are held via Zoom and are available during day and night court hours. If you have an active arrest warrant or are a juvenile (17 years and under), you must appear in person. Virtual Court Dockets are available to:

  • Make your initial appearance on a citation you received (traffic, ordinance, Class C misdemeanors)  
  • Request extensions on existing court orders   
  • Request modifications to existing court orders due to hardships

 How to participate in a Virtual Court Proceeding/Session

1. Preregister to participate in Virtual Court and select an appointment time.

2. After you preregister, you will receive a confirmation text with a Zoom link and passcode.

3. If presenting documents (proofs) to the court, please email documents to

laredomunicipalcourt@ci.laredo.tx.us

before your appointment date.

4.On the day of your appointment, 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time, log in using the link

provided in the confirmation text or Zoom link below.

No late arrivals will be admitted.

5. Zoom will launch/open, enter the passcode and join the meeting with audio.

6. Remain online until your case is called. Your microphone will be unmuted by the court.

7. After appearing before the judge, you may exit the session. All documents related to your court

appearance will bee mailed to the email address provided at registration.

 

 

  Expectations

 Select an environment that allows you to focus on discussing  your case with the judge.

    Minimize interruption and background noise.

*  Ensure video and audio on your device is enabled and the volume on your device is up.

*  Exercise proper courtroom decorum at all times.

    For example: refrain from moving/walking around when appearing before the judge and speaking

    to the judge, sit in front of the camera so you and can see each other no driving while 

    participating in a virtual court proceeding, no caps, etc.

Be patient with unexpected technical issues or inactivity

    during the session. 

 
 

 

   Must have an electronic device that is compatible with Zoom. (iPhone, iPad, androids, tablets, laptops,

   computers, etc.)
