The mission of the Telecommunications Division of the IST Department is to support and serve the telecommunications interest and needs of our local government by informing our local officials and management of new developments, regulation and administration of cable systems, other telecommunications systems and right of way management to better serve our citizens.

Objective

• Administer all lease contracts for compliance and review as needed to maintain good relations with all Lessors.
• Oversee franchises of all video service providers and telecommunications providers licensed by the State of Texas using parameters set forth by State Law.
• Ensure that all franchise fee payments are timely and accurate using parameters as set forth by State law.
