PROJECT ACHIEVE

Through “Project Achieve” the City of Laredo’s Human Resources Department endeavors to offer a variety of learning opportunities to all City of Laredo employees, regardless of their current position within the organization, with the sole purpose of:

  • Developing and maintaining a workforce that is the best equipped to do the job required in their respective fields;
  •  Encourage all employees to acquire the skill sets needed to move up within the organization;
  •  Prepare and challenge all employees to be innovative leaders in their field;
  •  Develop and implement a “succession plan” that is aligned with the vision of the organization;
  •  Establish and maintain the best workforce in the City of Laredo.

It is the Human Resources Department’s goal to engage at least 50% of the 3000 City of Laredo employees in any of the varied learning opportunities offered during the 24-25 Fiscal Year.
