The Class D Pharmacy provides services in an accurate and efficient manner to clients enrolled in the following programs:

In addition, the City of Laredo Health Department Pharmacy serves as a depot for rabies post-exposure prophylaxis for eligible, low income, at risk clients and adheres by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Zoonosis Division’s guidelines. Clients exposed, need to complete an Animal Control Report, consult with a physician and be referred to the health department with a prescription. The determination on whether prophylaxis is warranted is based on a thorough assessment of each client’s case.
