Program Vision Statement
The Hepatitis C program provides services to help prevent the transmission rate of Hepatitis C viral infection and progression of chronic hepatitis cases by establishing “awareness” of the disease through education and collaboration with community health partners, while promoting testing and treatment for early detection and diagnosis of HCV infection. The Hepatitis C program provides these services for all the people that live in Webb County and hopes to help decrease the rates of HCV infection and liver cancer occurrence.
Mission
The mission of the Hepatitis C program is to decrease the rates of incidence and mortality for liver disease and liver cancer in the community by increasing the amount of people that are screened for Hepatitis C in the community, as well as by providing navigation to treatment services for those that the virus is already affecting.
