Program Vision Statement: The mission of Healthy Texas Mothers and Babies is to advance health care quality and patient safety for all Texas mothers and babies through collaboration of all health and community stakeholders. Collaborate with community partners to develop and intervention strategy to decrease infant mortality and prevent premature births in Webb County. To achieve this goal the program along with local agencies has provided the community with educational material, focus groups on knowledge and best practices, trainings, presentations, webinars, and forums of topics related to preconception, conception, pre-natal care, family planning, infant mortality, and birth defects.

Goal
The goal of Healthy Texas Mothers and Babies is to reduce infant mortality in our community by providing early health care for mother and baby. Our goal is to have women take charge of their health in hopes of maintaining a healthier lifestyle and assist during preconception, prenatal and postpartum care by providing health education.
Priorities
-Facilitate prenatal care and infant care services.
-Assess the need of the community and recognize possible disparities that affect adequate care.
-Establish presence in the community and improve relationships among community stakeholders and partners.

Services offered:
The Healthy Texas Women program offers free women's health and family planning services to eligible, low-income women. These services help women plan their families, whether they want to achieve, postpone or prevent pregnancy. They can also have a positive effect on future pregnancy planning and general health.
