To expedite the reunification process, please follow these steps:

  1. Identify Your Pet: Carefully review the descriptions and photos of the cats listed.

  2. Gather Proof of Ownership: Prepare documents or photos that prove your ownership, such as veterinary records, registration details, or personal photos with your pet.

  3. Contact Us: Get in touch with our team. Be ready to provide details about your pet and the proof of ownership.

  4. Visit Our Facility: If you've identified your pet or need further assistance, come to our facility. Our staff will guide you through the final steps to ensure a safe and happy reunion with your pet.

  5. Begin a New Search: If your initial attempt did not result in locating your pet, we encourage you to revisit this page regularly. While most records are updated on the same day of intake, occasional delays in data processing may lead to some intakes being recorded the following day. Your diligence in checking back could be pivotal in reuniting with your pet.

If you have any questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out.

Found Animals

If you have found an animal and are seeking to report it as lost in hopes of reuniting it with its owner, your efforts are commendable and crucial. Please follow the steps below to ensure the best possible outcome:

  1. Safety First: Ensure the animal is safe and not posing any danger to itself or others. If the animal appears aggressive or injured, contact us at 956-625-1860.

  2. Check for Identification: Look for any tags, collars, or identification on the animal that could provide owner information.

  3. Report the Found Animal:

    • Contact Us: Notify us and provide a detailed description of the animal. Some owners will contact us first when searching for their lost pet.
    • Use Online Resources: Utilize online platforms dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their owners. Websites like 24PetConnect, Petfinder, the local community's lost and found pet Facebook groups, or apps like PawBoost can be instrumental.
  4. Provide a Detailed Description: When reporting the found animal, include as many details as possible, such as the time and location where the animal was found, breed, color, size, gender, and any distinguishing features.

  5. Foster Temporary Shelter: If you can safely do so, and it's within your capacity, consider providing temporary shelter for the animal while you search for its owner.

  6. Spread the Word: Create flyers with the animal's photo and your contact information (be cautious with personal details) to post in the area where the animal was found. Share the information with local veterinarians, pet stores, and community centers.

  7. Be Cautious with Reunions: If someone comes forward to claim the animal, ensure they provide proof of ownership before handing over the animal. This can include photos, vet records, or answering specific questions about the pet that a stranger wouldn't know.

If you have any questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out.
