Laredo, Texas —The City of Laredo Solid Waste Services Department announces the start of a new trash collection route on July 15th, 2024. Due to the city’s growth, some residential garbage collection routes will switch collection days. Currently, residential garbage collection is on Mondays and Tuesdays, but starting the week of July 15th, Wednesdays will be added to the rotation.
The new trash truck routes will service an area in the center of Laredo on Wednesdays, and residents can research their address at www.laredoroutes.com. Also, green trash cans, “Willie Botes,” will have a bright neon label to remind residents that their trash bin will not be picked up on Monday or Tuesday as usual, but instead on Wednesday, July 17th, from now on. Below is a city map referencing the new route in Laredo’s center area.
Furthermore, the community should be aware that recycling collection will remain the same on Thursdays and Fridays, with no changes to those routes. City garbage collection on commercial properties will remain the same, with no change to their designated collection days.
The new garbage collection system will allow for prompt and effective service to all residents of Laredo. If the community has additional questions, they may contact the Call Center at 3-1-1 or (956) 796-1098.
