The FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event in Laredo is Set for December 7th
LAREDO, Texas— The City of Laredo Environmental Services Department is proud to host its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHWC) Event, which provides residents with a hassle-free opportunity to dispose of hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
This free, citywide event offers a convenient drive-through system, where Environmental Services staff will unload items directly from vehicles. Although, it is important to note that materials from businesses or construction projects will not be accepted. Laredo residents are encouraged to gather any unwanted hazardous materials and take advantage of this environmentally friendly opportunity to clear out their homes safely.
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
- Cleaning products
- Paints, stains, and solvents
- Pool chemicals
- Pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides
- Fluorescent light bulbs
- Electronics
- Batteries
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:
- Tires
- Large appliances
- Furniture
- Medical waste
- Ammunition and explosives
- Commercial and radioactive waste
The HHWC Event helps reduce environmental hazards by ensuring that hazardous materials are disposed of safely, protecting our community and natural resources.
