City of Laredo Invites the Community to a Watch Party for Jennifer Lozano’s Olympic Boxing Debut
Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo is excited to invite the community to a special watch party to support their very own Jennifer Lozano, affectionately known as "La Traviesa," as she makes her debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the boxing discipline. This thrilling event will take place at the Cigarroa Recreation Center, located at 2201 Zacatecas St.; doors will open at 8:00 AM, and entrance is completely free.
The community will come together to cheer on Jennifer Lozano, a proud representative of Laredo, as she competes on the world stage. This is a momentous occasion for the community, and Laredoan’s support will mean the world to Jennifer as she fights for Olympic glory.
The event will feature the Live broadcast of Jennifer Lozano's boxing match, refreshments & snacks while supplies last, and a community gathering to celebrate and support a local athlete. Everyone is encouraged to attend dressed in their best Laredo spirit wear or red, white & blue. Additionally, everyone may share this event with family and friends to experience this historic moment. About Jennifer Lozano: Jennifer Lozano, also known as "La Traviesa," is a dedicated and talented boxer from Laredo, Texas. Her hard work and determination have led her to represent the United States at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. She started boxing at 9 and has Mexican roots in her family. Nicknamed “La Traviesa” by her grandmother, she grew up watching Jackie Nava fights on Saturday nights with her grandmother. Lozano qualified for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 by winning silver at the Pan American Games Santiago 2023. Jennifer Lozano is the first person from Laredo, Texas, to qualify for an Olympic Games.
